Wayne Harris

Football Athlete - Inducted 1980

Wayne Harris was selected to the Western Conference All-Star Team every year that he played with the Calgary Stampeders, from 1961 to 1972. He was awarded the Beckett-DeMarco Trophy in 1966 and in 1971 as the outstanding lineman. Twice, he was voted the most popular Stampeder. The President's Award for performance, sportsmanship, and team contribution was presented to him in 1967 and again in 1970. He was selected to the Canadian Football League All-Star Team seven times and was chosen as the outstanding player in the 1971 Calgary Grey Cup victory. Wayne Harris won the Schenley Award four times.

2004 - College Footbal Hall of Fame

2006 - Voted 9th of TSN's 50 greatest players in CFL history

2012 - Selected to represent the Stampeders on a postage stamp to commemorate the 100th Grey up anniversary series
