John “Jackie” Parker

Football Athlete - Inducted 1980

Jackie Parker started playing professional football with the Edmonton Eskimos in 1954. During his career, he scored 744 points, including 87 touchdowns and 40 field goals. He starred in the Edmonton Eskimos victories in the Grey Cups of 1954, 1955, and 1956. He received the Schenley Award in 1957, 1958, and 1960 as the Outstanding Player in the Canadian Football League. Jackie Parker also won the Most Outstanding Player in the Western Football Conference in 1954 and from 1956 to 1961 inclusive.

Jackie passed away in 2006
