Karen Percy-Lowe
Skiing Athlete - Inducted 2000
Karen Percy-Lowe stole the hearts of Canadians at the 1988 Calgary Olympics when she twice put the Canadian Maple Leaf on the podium, capturing Olympic Bronze in the Downhill and Super Giant Slalom and a fourth in the combined event. During her six-year career with the Canadian National Team, Karen Percy-Lowe compiled 45 - top 15 placings on the World Cup circuit, including a 2nd at the World Championships in Vail in 1989, and seven Canadian Championships. Since her retirement, Karen Percy-Lowe has been inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame, and Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, and has received the Order of Canada.
