Doral Pilling
Track & Field Athlete - Inducted 1970
Doral Pilling is an outstanding all-around athlete who competed in baseball, boxing, badminton, track and field events. He set a Canadian Championship record in 1927 with a javelin throw of 185 ft. 4 1/2 in. That same year, he was the Intercollegiate Champion of the United States. In 1928, Doral Pilling won the Canadian Championship in javelin and went on to win the meet of the United States vs the British Empire at Stanford Bridge.
