William “Bill” Price

"Bill" Price was passionate about his interest in playing basketball, baseball, and curling. He was captain of the 1945 Provincial High School Championship Basketball Team. In the summers, he starred as a baseball player for the Edmonton Junior Canadians. He was the captain of two University of Alberta Intercollegiate Basketball Championship Teams, and three times a member of teams playing to qualify as Canada's representative at the Olympic Games. Between 1946 and 1950, "Bill" Price was a Provincial All-Star baseball player and in 1948, he was the Big Four Senior League's leading hitter. He began curling in 1956 with Matt Baldwin's rink and in 1957 was a member of the rink that won the MacDonald Brier.
