Boxing Athlete - Inducted 1980

Harvey Reti started boxing at age seventeen and in his nine years of competitive boxing from 1955 to 1964, he won the Alberta Golden Gloves title seven times. He boxed from the bantam to light-welterweight divisions. After joining the Canadian Armed Forces, he won many Western Command and Canadian Armed Forces Championships. He was the Canadian light-welterweight king from 1961 to 1964. Harvey Reti represented Canada at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games where he took the bronze medal. He was a Canadian boxing team member at the 1964 Olympics.
