Sandra Smith

Swimming Athlete - Inducted 1978

Sandra Smith started swimming in 1958, coached by her father. She represented Canada at the 1967 Pan American Games in Winnipeg; the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland; and, at the 1970 World Student Games in Turin, Italy where she won a bronze medal. Sandra set a national record in the 400m freestyle, and was also the high point female swimmer at the National University Championships.
