Phil Tollestrup

Basketball Athlete - Inducted 1984

Phil Tollestrup led the Raymond High School team to the Provincial Basketball Championship. While attending the University of Lethbridge, he established intercollegiate scoring records. At Brigham Young University, he played on the Conference Championship Team. He was on the Canadian National Basketball Team that played at the 1971 Pan American Games, the 1974 World Championships, and the 1975 Pan American Games. In 1974, he was chosen as a North and South American All-Star. Phil Tollestrup was the third-leading scorer at the 1976 Olympic Games.

After Induction

 1978-1980 – coached McMaster University basketball team.

2004-2007 – coached Lethbridge College Kodiak men’s basketball team.
