Bob Wylie

Golf Athlete - Inducted 1980

Bob Wylie has won the Calgary Amateur Golf Title five times; the Alberta Amateur Crown four times; the Alberta Open Championship twice; and, the Canadian Amateur Title in 1961. He was on the Willingdon Cup Team for eleven years which resulted in three championships in 1960, 1965, and 1966. In 1960, Bob Wylie represented Canada on the World Amateur Team which won a bronze medal. He also represented Canada at International Tournaments in Mexico, Japan, Australia, and the United States. Bob Wylie turned professional from 1953 to 1958, finishing fifth at the Tucson Open Golf Tournament in 1958. He has set at least four golf course records.
