Jim Fleming

Soccer Builder - Inducted 1987

Jim Fleming's name is synonymous with soccer. He has served in senior executive positions with the Edmonton Referees' Association, Alberta Soccer Association, and Canadian Soccer Association. He was the first Canadian to be elected to the FIFA Technical Committee (the World governing body) and also the CONCACAF (the governing body in North and Central America under FIFA) Rules and Regulations Commission and Executive Committee. Jim Fleming has contributed to the success of the Under 16 World Tournament as chairman of the organizing committee. A highlight of his involvement with soccer happened when he was presented with the game ball by the 1985 Canadian World Cup Team after the qualifying game.

1990-1998 - Senior Vice President of CONCACAF

2002 - Inducted to the CONCACAF Hall of Fame
