Joan French

Softball Builder - Inducted 1984

Joan French progressed to being named as a Canadian All-Star, third base, softball player. In 1968, she started coaching. Her team went on to compete in four Canadian Championships between then and 1975. She coached them to a silver medal victory at the first Canada Summer Games. Joan French has held many executive positions on local, provincial and national softball committees. She is a Past President of Sport Alberta. Joan French has received the Silver Jubilee Medal from Queen Elizabeth II for excellence and service in the field of amateur sport.
