Charles Scott was president and secretary of the Edmonton Golf Association in the 1940s. In 1949, he was named a director of the Alberta Golf Association and was elected to the position of secretary-treasurer in 1950. Charles Scott held that position for twenty years. He later served as president for one year. In 1953, he became involved in curling holding the office of secretary-treasurer for the Southern Alberta Curling Association. Charles Scott was named Calgary's Sportsman of the Year in 1971.
