Arthur Skitch has made outstanding contributions as an athlete and as a sportsman in Edmonton since 1914. He was a member of several championship teams in the city including basketball, wrestling, baseball, and rugby. He also played for the Edmonton Eskimos for two years. Arthur Skitch coached girls' track and field for fifteen years and was the director of the junior high school track meets. He has also served as president, executive member, committee member, coach, timekeeper, starter, and in many other official capacities in basketball, track and field, speed skating, baseball, fastball, wrestling, five-pin bowling, and curling.
