Ernest Zurch Sr. trained boxers for more than thirty-four years in Edmonton. Many of his boxers went on to win Alberta and Canadian Boxing championships. Ernest Zurch Sr. was the Alberta boxing team's coach at the Canadian Championships in 1927.
