Dwayne Mandrusiak

Dwayne Mandrusiak has dedicated his life to the Edmonton Eskimos, starting as a ball boy in 1971. By 1977, he became the team's Head Equipment Manager, a role he embraced for nearly five decades. Mandrusiak has worked over 1,000 games and has been part of 11 Grey Cup championships, cementing his legacy within the organization and the league.
Mandrusiak is revered for his professionalism, expertise, and deep commitment to player safety and team success. His role extended beyond equipment management; he became a confidant, mentor, and integral part of the Eskimos' fabric. His dedication to the CFL and the Edmonton community has made him an iconic figure, respected by players, coaches, and colleagues alike.
Together with George Hopkins, Mandrusiak co-founded the Amateur Football Equipment Inspection Program in 1985. This initiative significantly improved safety standards in youth football by ensuring proper equipment maintenance and usage across Alberta.
Mandrusiak's excellence has been recognized with several accolades, including the CFL Commissioner's Award in 2013, honoring individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the league.
