Robbie Carrington

Boxing Athlete - Inducted 1966

Robbie Carrington was an outstanding amateur boxer in the 1927 to 1936 era who won 48 out of 50 fights.  He won the Canadian Lightweight title in 1935 and won five Alberta boxing championships from 90 lb. class to 147 lb. class. Robbie Carrington represented Canada at the Inter Golden Gloves in New York in 1935.  He won the Alberta provincial Welterweight crown in 1936.
