Keith Alexander has been an outstanding amateur golfer in Alberta, Canada, and internationally since the early 1950s. His lengthy list of championships include the Calgary Amateur, Calgary Open, Edmonton Amateur, Edmonton Open, Lethbridge Chinook Classic, Calgary Golf and Country Club, Mayfair Golf Club, Tournament of Champions, Canada Dry Challenge Cup, Alberta Amateur, Willingdon Cup, Alberta Open, Oilmens', Canadian Amateur, Guadalajara International, Big Seven Conference, and Colorado College. Keith Alexander has qualified as a team member for 25 Alberta Willingdon Cups, six Eisenhower Amateurs, five America's Cups, and three Commonwealth Cups. He also qualified for team play at tournaments held in Brazil, France, Colombia, and Mexico. He was named twice as an All-Star while attending the University of Colorado. In 1986, Keith Alexander was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame.

Keith won the 1992 Senior Golf Championship of Canada.  He turned professional and focused on the Senior PGA Tour in 1993.
